Built by W.G. McKellar after he purchased property in 1899, the home retains it's former resident's nickname. “Short Mama” was Beulah Crumley Haydon. She lived here until her death in 1989 at the age of 97. The house was beautifully updated in the 1990’s and is on the city’s list of Historic Sites. The name Short Mama’s remains as a tribute to Ms. Crumley Haydon and her contribution to the town of Dripping Springs. Today, Short Mama's is a mix of history and modern amenities, just off Mercer Street. Office space and flex meeting space are available periodically. Please call for availability.
